Dealing with Challenging Canine Behaviour Problems
The CPD course on dealing with challenging canine behaviour problems is suitable for Veterinary surgeons and nurses, dog trainers, behaviourists or those working with dogs in a professional capacity. It would also suit those with a special interest in developing a more in-depth knowledge of canine behaviour problems.
Course aims: To provide the learner with a greater understanding of some of the more challenging canine behaviour problems and how to manage them. You will be led by a qualified working clinical animal behaviourist who can share a wealth of expereince.
In this full day course delegates will look at:
- Obsessive compulsive disorders and repetitive behaviours
- Fears and phobias
- Resource guarding & aggression around food
- Aggression between bitches
- Cognitive dysfunction
- Medical disorders and their impact on behaviour
- Prevention and treatment strategies
- Case studies and opprotunities for discussion
Caroline has a professional teaching qualification and is an A.B.T.C. Registered Clinical Animal Behaviour Counsellor and full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). She is a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 30 years’ experience in Veterinary practice. Caroline runs a busy behaviour practice, providing help for animals with a range of behaviour problems.

Caroline has over 30 years’ experience working within the animal industry. She is a qualified registered veterinary nurse and has a professional teaching qualification. Caroline’s teaching experience is varied, having taught students from level one through to graduates on degree courses. During her career she has worked for a number of colleges and was with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an external verifier ensuring standards were met on the Veterinary Nursing programme.
