About me, your tutor Caroline Clark
I have over 40 years’ experience working within the animal industry and I am a qualified registered veterinary nurse, a clinical animal behaviourist, and hold a professional teaching qualification. Throughout my career, I have taught students from entry level through to undergraduate degree courses, worked at several colleges, and served as an external verifier for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, ensuring high standards in Veterinary Nursing programmes.
I am a full member of the APBC (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors) and one of only a select few to achieve Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) status with the Animal Behaviour Training Council (ABTC). Currently, I run my own behaviour referral practice in Yorkshire and remain closely involved in the veterinary sector as a freelance clinical coach in a busy seven-branch veterinary hospital. I have appeared as an animal behaviour expert on Channel Four’s ‘Embarrassing Pets’ and continue to enjoy public speaking and writing for veterinary publications.
About Tommy, my website manager
Tommy has over 20 years’ experience as a digital consultant and web designer, working with a diverse range of clients across the UK. His passion for animals is reflected in his long-standing collaborations with organisations such as Blue Cross, as well as Pet Education and Training, where he has worked closely with Caroline for the past decade. Beyond the virtual realm, Tommy is also a professional photographer, with his images—often depicting pets—published internationally.
Within Pet Education and Training, Tommy oversees the day-to-day running of the website, ensuring it remains accessible, informative, and engaging for students. He is responsible for updating content, developing innovative features, and providing technical support whenever needed. For Tommy, Pet Education and Training is not merely a professional endeavour, but a personal commitment, and he takes pride in helping the platform evolve into the best possible resource for its users.
