Pet Education and Training Courses (PET Courses) specialises in up-to-date and accurate canine, feline and other small, companion animal related courses, suitable for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career working with animals and for those already working as a pet professional. Some of our courses are also suitable for dedicated pet owners who just want to learn more about their animals.

PET Courses was developed as an online training provider in 2014 by Caroline Clark, a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Clinical Animal Behaviourist, Companion Animal Behaviour Post Graduate and Qualified Teacher. Caroline wanted to fulfil the demand for good quality animal care courses. She felt that her experience of working within the industry, coupled with her teaching skills, placed her in a unique position to share her knowledge with students wishing to study animal care.

Caroline Clark

Caroline has over 30 years’ experience working within the animal industry. She is a qualified registered veterinary nurse, a clinical animal behaviourist and has a professional teaching qualification. Caroline’s teaching experience is varied, having taught students from level one through to undergraduates on degree courses. During her career she has worked for a number of colleges and was an external verifier for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, ensuring standards were met on the Veterinary Nursing programme.

Caroline is a full member of the APBC (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors) and is one of only a small number of specialists to have achieved the status of Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB) with the Animal Behaviour Training Council (ABTC). Caroline currently runs her own behaviour referral practice in Yorkshire and still maintains links with the veterinary environment, working as a freelance clinical coach in a busy 7-branch veterinary hospital.

Caroline appeared as the animal behaviour expert in a 20 part, Channel Four TV series: ‘Embarrassing Pets’ and she enjoys public speaking and writing articles for veterinary publications.

Quality Assured

The courses on offer are unique in that they have been developed and designed by Caroline who has on-going and current real-life working experience within the profession. Many other online “colleges” out-source their courses to be written by independent contributors who have very little real-life work experience. Tutors assigned may not have written the course and this can affect interpretation of the course content. So knowing who has written your course and who will be marking it should give you peace of mind that you will gain valuable knowledge and support.

Most of our courses are accredited by an independent verifier to ensure that they meet a high standard and fulfil teaching and learning criteria. This means that PET Courses have undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers meet defined quality criteria.

Caroline will assist achievement, whether for assessments, understanding particular topics or general support and encouragement. Due to the expert support given to students PET Courses have an extremely high course completion rate.
